If there’s a group of people more familiar with hurricanes and more equipped to deal with the mess they leave behind, it’s Floridians.
As Hurricane Helene has devastated towns across the Southeast U.S. people in Hudson, Florida near Tampa were out on a boat looking for people who needed help.
Fire trucks were unable to get around as well, so when these two saw a small fire inside a flooded house, they got creative. By pulling their boat under the carport next to a window, broke it, and used their motor to splash it with water.
They ended up saving the house…or at least what was left of it.
Our hearts go out to everyone affected by these storms and, as always, have all the respect in the world for the ones who choose to help.
