During a time out in Miami the other night, it was planned for Conor McGregor to come onto the NBA floor and punch the Heat mascot, Burnie, to promote his own pain relief spray. The idea was for Burnie to get “knocked out”, sprayed with the spray, and staffers would drag him off the court.
However, someone didn’t tell McGregor he didn’t have to ACTUALLY knock Burnie out by hitting him twice at full force, but that’s what happened. The guy in the hospital ended up having to go to the ER, but is okay and will be back for the next home game…if there is one as Game 5 of the NBA championship series is tonight in Denver, with the Nuggets lead 3 games to 1.
