Houston Texans kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn’s full legal name is not actually just Kai’mi Fairbairn, you have to add two more names and several more letters as his full name is 56 letters in total!
The first half of the 29-year-old Honolulu, Hawaii native’s name is simple enough for anyone of average intelligence to pronounce, John Christian. From there, his middle name is Ka’iminoeauloameka’ikeokekumupa’a, which is where his more commonly-known “Ka’imi” comes from. It means “seeker of wisdom” in Hawaiian.
With his last name being Fairbairn, you put it all together and you get John Christian Ka’iminoeauloameka’ikeokekumupa’a Fairbairn as his full, legal name. Commentators during a recent game gave pronouncing it without help the old college try and, well, were about as successful as the Lions this weekend.
