Every sporting event has built-in little gimmicks to get fans into the whole experience and at a recent NBA game between the Rockets and the Clippers, free chicken was on the line.
As Boban Marjanovic stepped up to the free throw line, his team leading 105-97, he decided he’d give the people what they want.
Before appearing to purposely shank the shots, Boban turned to the crowd saying “chicken on me” and the place became electrified from the fans looking forward to their no-cost nuggets and the announcers calling Boban “a man of the people.”
