In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is National Child Abuse Awareness Month.

Throughout the year, the Seventh Circuit CASA Program encourages everyone to play a role in making Rapid City a better place for children and families. Everyone’s participation is crucial in the prevention of child abuse and maltreatment. By providing parents with education, skills and resources they need to care for their children, we can all promote the social and emotional well-being of families within our community. Bring your signs and banners showing your support of preventing child maltreatment. All individuals and groups are welcome.

The route will begin at the Pennington County Courthouse at 315 St. Joseph Street. Participants will march west on St. Joseph Street, turn right on 6th Street, then north to Main Street Square.

We are asking that everyone please RSVP by Monday April 2nd so that we may have appropriate assistance from the Rapid City Police Department.
